Love is for the(se) birds.
Ben & Beck – what can you say? These two creatures are so wonderful. When they asked me to travel to the South Coast of NSW to do their wedding at the impeccable Paperbark Camp, it was impossible to say no.
Beck is an architect and the attention to detail in the planning, design and execution of the ceremony was amazing, and a joy to be a part of. The whole day was wonderfully captured by Mr. Tim Coulson (http://www.timcoulson.com/) and I can’t remember doing a wedding where there has been so much laughter from beginning to end.
Both the guys had their mums say something as a part of the ceremony, and Beck’s cousin read a poem that Beck had written for Ben way back when, and little Immi was probably the best flower-girl there ever was. For these guys I sourced a book written in the 1920s called “Birds of a Feather”, which they certainly are, and it proudly stands in their newly renovated home.
This was such a hilarious day and a wedding as it really should be: a total celebration.
PS I’m not actually short, Ben is just inordinately tall. He’s like a sasquatch in many ways, in fact.
