Simple, sweet and so sunny
There’s a thing that every celebrant and priest seems to say during just about every wedding ceremony I’ve ever been in the audience for, and it’s something along the lines of “When I first met these two, I could see something special / a true friendship / a unique bond / etc, etc, etc”. And although I refrained from using the cliche, with these guys it’s true.
A simple and elegant ceremony, with beautiful words written by themselves for one another. Somehow Thiago got the words out despite his eyes getting watery (although it may have just been the mountain/sea air, we’re still not sure). This was such a happy occasion, and my arms were sore after the ceremony from all the hugging but I had a smile on my face which stayed with me all night.
There is something great about Byron weddings, and no matter how many there are, it really is an amazing place to start a lifetime together, I can’t explain exactly why. Ellen and Thiago’s wedding was just so perfect for them. And just a few weeks ago they let me know they’re expecting a miniature soccer player!
A very special mention to the amazing photographers the guys got – check out The Robertsons: http://www.davidrobertson.com.au/
